ROMIE D. UMRIGAR

Romie D. Umrigar is a Shipping & Maritime Leader with over 30 years of senior management experience and has been associated with Farohar for over 18 years in various roles.

Romie leads the Vessel lifecycle extension, retrofit, reactivation, decarbonization, dry docking and vessel condition survey projects at Farohar. He has successfully reactivated several vessels ranging from 15 years to 62 years. He has carried out Dry Docks for over 100 vessels of all categories including but not limited to offshore supply vessels, VLCC, Gas Carriers, PCTC, Passenger Vessels and Special Cargo Vessels.

Romie has successfully held many leadership roles including Chief Marine Engineer, Ship Superintendent, Fleet Manager, Technical Head, Director Technical & Managing Director in various leading Ship Management/ Ship Owning companies. He also sits on various maritime technical and advisory committees.
